My new design - Folding Card Box

My new design, a gift box for cards!

Fits a standard 2.5"x3.5" playing card deck or about 60 unsleeved cards for TCGs such as MTG, Pokemon, etc…

I was inspired by those leather playing card cases and cassette tapes from the 90s. The hinge actually works really well and the T-clamps hold the parts in place if the wood is wonky.

I’m going to make a few variations and make a double deck holder next.

What ya think?

Very nice. Lots of options too.

I like it, a lot. You might want to add a few more box joint pins depending on how this one holds up but the cassette tape design rocks!

The fold out design is really nice.

This turned out great!

Very nice! Is it at all stable when it’s raised up? I could see that being useful for games that require cards to be handed out.

Thanks David!

Appreciate it! I’ll think about adding more finger joints but when I use glue I don’t usually have a problem. Food for thought though. Thanks!

Was a little challenging to design but not horrible. Glad you like it!

Nice design … always nice to have a unique storage for a game … or cards in this case.

Quite nice!

Would be fun to make one for cassette I’m sure folks still have some momento tapes around. Would be a nice way to store them.

That’s a lovely design! I’ll bet it makes the card game more fun, too. Nice hinge.

It is kind of stable fully horizontal but I don’t think I would use it for a game. Laid down open it does work well. I also designed this thing for card games that might work. It is detachable and fits in the box to carry the parts around.

This is awesome!!
are you open to sharing your design? or do you sell this anywhere?

Just so you know, it’s against forum rules to ask for a design that hasn’t been offered - BUT - it’s always worth clicking on the OP’s icon, because in many cases (including here) you can see they have a shop linked:

Thanks for sharing my bio! I know it is confusing to some people and I don’t feel it is appropriate sharing. Appreciate it!
