Need a source of material

My supplier of price tags for my handcrafted pens has disappeared.
Price_Stock_Tag

But I have a GlowForge and a newly made downdraft table, so I can just make them myself. Except I don’t know what the material is.

It is .011” thick and a Sharpie pen works really great for marking prices and stock numbers.

Anyone have a suggestion of where to look?

They might be polypropylene. It’s what Ikea cutting boards are made of - and a lot of folders. It cuts fairly well but engraves terribly - which is fine since you don’t want to engrave.

Will try it tomorrow or the next day

Maybe Tyvek? It’s commonly used for price tags and laser cuts nicely. You can get a free sample piece from the post office in the form of priority mail envelopes.

Did you verify this is not a vinyl/PVC-containing plastic?

I got so confused with the duplicate posts for a sec! lol

How about using the GF to cut some out of silicone baking mats? You could either engrave them or write on them.
