Do we think a new Glowforge will be coming soon or at all in the future? I’d love to see a new take on another machine model.

“Recent”. It was quite a while ago now if we’re talking about the same cuts, that was over 1.5 years ago.
That’s a long time as far as future planning at a company goes.

According to Google’s new image generator, this is what the next machine looks like:
Apparently they will change their logo and release the “Aurora”, a dual-head pass-through machine with a large front LCD panel and a prominent glass dome on the back which has an obvious purpose. A UV air filter on the back will clean the exhaust.

Yes, it’s free to use, though they’ll limit your daily generations if you aren’t a subscriber. It gives you access to the new “Nano Banana” model that is quite powerful, allowing you to edit, re-style, or generate images.

Co-founder and CEO Dan Shapiro told GeekWire that the startup merged its sales and marketing teams.
“As part of that process, over the last three weeks we added three folks and sadly said goodbye to five folks from that team,” Shapiro said.
Shapiro did not provide details on which positions were impacted, but posts on LinkedIn from affected employees show that at least one longtime marketing leader at the company was let go.”
