I’ve done some full-bed engraves and, yes, it’s really ok that it takes that much time because it’s not something you do all the time. Getting the right settings before committing is critical, though.

to be fair, i gave him the outline of the body and the pickguard and he literally drew it into that shape plus a 1/4" bleed so i had some flex room if the GF was off a little.

thanks. auction happened monday night and it went for $1,000. the guy who bought it is giving it to his 14 yr old daughter, who just started playing electric guitar early this year and who’s first song on it was a black sabbath tune, so it seems really appropriate.
