Newest guitar: The Kraken

This guitar was built to be auctioned off next month at a silent auction for my company’s charitable foundation at our internal conference in early December.

i can’t take credit for the illustration, i collaborated with a colleague who’s an incredible illustrator and he drew this specifically for this guitar.

This is a beauty. I am sure it will be prized by the winner of the auction.

I love the weathered look! It goes great with the engraving!

the body was already “road worn.” it was an old project guitar body from a friend who passed away a few years ago. his wife gave me the body/neck to do whatever i wanted with it. it’s got some chipping around the edges and the finish is aged a bit, so it seemed the perfect guitar to do some “relicing” with.

That turned out great! How long did the engrave take?

i think it was just over 2 hours in two parts.

That’s not bad at all! I hope it gets a huge bid!

Nothing less than stunning…the illustrators work and your thought and effort to learn how to put it on there.
