Hi all, playing around with no glue joints. I’m trying to figure out how long/narrow my “grabbers” need to be, so the proofgrade maple doesn’t break.

Awesome, I saw a similar design on Pinterest of all places, I have been curious to try it. Thanks for sharing.
I think the middle piece could be eliminated by sandwiching the right piece between 2 solid boards glued top and bottom. The left piece would then slide in and lock. Could make a nice jewelry clasp.
