No proof grade products available

There are no proof grade materials on Glowforge. They are all sold out on the items I want to buy. What other places can I buy materials I need.

The pandemic has played havoc with the supply chain, but these discussions should help you find what you need.

I frequently find that they are sold out of products and find it to be incredibly frustrating. I’ve purchased a few pieces of wood from Lowes and have not had great results. I’ll keep looking elsewhere.

I agree it’s frustrating, but not a lot they can do about it since they can’t meet with suppliers etc. and it’s not really their fault. Hopefully things get a better sooner than later. Luckily there’s lots of places to get good supplies and a lot of them are cut to size for the GF. Several folks even sell wood that is finished and masked just like proofgrade.

I’m sorry that we don’t have the materials that you want in stock! Due to a combination of challenges with inventory due to COVID-19 and unprecedented demand, we’ve had a hard time keeping Proofgrade materials in stock.

In the meantime, if there’s a Joann near you, they may have the Proofgrade materials you want in stock, and many locations are offering curbside pick-up.

I’m going to move this discussion so that it may continue.

Andy, Is it possible that some sort of a schedule can be posted, so we can have an idea of when things will be back in stock? I would imagine your suppliers have to give you some sort of timeline as to when items will ship. It would just make it easier to plan projects if one can determine when to try to jump on getting an order in.

There is no schedule. They get product when they can, there is no way to know in advance.

Sign up for notifications for material you want, and jump on it as soon as you receive the notification.

Either that, or source your materials elsewhere.
