New shirt. I just used magnets on Mylar with no paper behind. It cut fantastically.
Also, taping the shirt to the table seems to help hold things steady for the squeegee process.
I love this. I need a pile of blank shirts, now, in my supplies.

That’s a great layout too…did you design that? :grinning::+1:

:blush: yes!
Thanks. I am ridiculously pleased with it.
I used both comic sans and papyrus on purpose… a nod to the font police here on this forum.

It came out great! Now I want to try one. With glow in the dark paint.

I’d even resisted the urge to mention it on Facebook. :joy:

I can’t wait to try this for underglaze on clay! That said, use caution with magnets, they can pull your lens out of focus and cause damage (after replacing my lens assembly)

Did you do this?? That’s exactly what I’m hoping to do too!

Hi, welcome to the community! Hope you like it here, there’s lots to read and learn. I came for the projects, stayed for the wit & humor.

@jtetz30 isn’t on here often, but I reached out and she said she was unsuccessful on clay and went back to plain stencils.

If the design you’re trying to do is very complicated it might be worth more experiments though!

Update on the original. Years have passed. I am glad I made this silly thing and I learned a lot. Tuition in projects I would do differently now.

I bought a second hand 4-color silk screen tshirt press and I have half a dozen screens. Definitely the way to go for short run t-shirts. I have done a few dozen designs for 1-75 shirts and I prefer 1-color but have done 4-color.

I’ll never do another laser cut “screen.” But I’m glad that I did at least the half dozen that I did.

on the other hand, I have made myself several jigs and T-shirt measurement tools. So the glowforge has contributed to T-shirts on a different tool.
