I have some bad news for you.
My first, my Dad brought it home out of the blue when I was 9 or 10. I don’t think I ever thanked him enough, but he did see me go on from playing with that thing every afternoon to a long, happy career in computer science.
Oh snap, December 16?
That’s too bad.
about 35 years ago, i found out my dad had one of the original PARC Xerox computers, the Alto,in his basement in boxes. i kick myself every time i think about it because i should have made him give it to me. probably worth a pretty penny today.
Ah so cool.
Thank you for this.
Love that!
The girl blowing bubbles and the rope ones especially ![]()
That’s cool. Are you involved with the project?
oh no. just a fan of mini museum. i got their first mini museum on kickstarter as a christmas gift for my wife.
Back in the 70s a company made anamorphic puzzles like that. So cool!!
Really enlightening breakdown of photo processing from raw sensor data:
Okay, that is very cool. I love the step by step breakdown.
Definitely not laser related. Made this for the holidays. 8 thumbs up, everyone loved them.
Oh wow, those sound fabulous!
I spend so much time modifying photos of things like sunsets so they match what my eyes see… but the fact that I can do it within the options my phone gives me it’s quite nice!
And even then you’re just matching how it looks on that particular screen! And in that particular room with that particular lighting!
Color fidelity matching is a rabbit hole that some people never climb back out of ![]()
