Multiple levels of irony here. I wonder how this could be expressed as Glowforge art (beyond simple picture engraving).

You could do a multilayer composite in either wood or acrylic (or both)
Make a nightlight engraving on acrylic
Turn it into a kids puzzle with cutout letters
It might make a nice looking ornament too.
Those are my first thoughts for something like this.

I thought about trying to enhance the motion of the flames using an optical illusion, but so far I haven’t been able to capture the effect in a laser-cut piece.

I think layered ply would be the easiest approach but I bet adding in some acrylic with that would really look cool.
