One Side of Laser Arm Didn't Move

I was starting to make another of an ornament I’ve already made on acrylic before, including a couple of minutes ago. This time it made a horrible noise and I panicked and opened the lid. Only one side of the arm was moving up. I took out the material and I don’t see anything blocking the way. Help!

If I had to guess, you had the material extended over the metal area of the tray onto the plastic part at one side. That can cause the laser arm to pop off the tracks.

Is the laser arm canted now?

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the scare! Is it possible something in your Glowforge blocked your laser arm from moving? Please check around the rails for any obstructions. If there aren’t any, could you please do the following for me? Turn off your Glowforge Try gently sliding the laser arm towards you a bit, perhaps moving one side, then the other. Whether or not that works, continue to the next step. Placing one hand in front and one in back, gently lift up the laser arm on the rig…
