Hi all, I’ve read through the common fixes and can’t seem to make any progress here. I’ve tried:
- cleaning camera
- checking lid connectors
- checking wifi connection
anything I am missing?
have you checked the connection to the laser head itself? If you power down the machine and disconnect the cable take a photo of the pins and plug end of the cable and inspect it for damage.
Another thing that might cause it is operating temps being out or range. What model unit do you have and what is the temp in the room the machine is in.
I’m sorry you ran into trouble. There are a few steps I’d like you to take so we can investigate this further. Could you please do the following?
- Turn your Glowforge off completely
- wait about 30 seconds
- Hold down the button on your Glowforge for ten seconds, until it glows with a teal color
- Your Glowforge is now broadcasting a temporary Wi-Fi access point. Connect your computer to “Glowforge XXX-XXX” (from your Wi-Fi Settings)
- Visit the following URL in your browser: http://192.168.192.1:3000/logs/zip
- A .zip file should download to your computer
- Reconnect to your usual Wi-Fi network and email the .zip file to support@glowforge.com. Let me know when you’ve sent the file over and I’ll take a look right away
