I’m continually impressed with how well my Glowforge handles intricate designs. Medium, clear, Proofgrade acrylic. Once cut, and after removing the masking, I used a heat gun to warm the acrylic enough to allow me to add a slight curve to the butterfly.
I’ve found that things start getting hinky somewhere under 1mm of final object thickness because of retained heat. But if you could do the nearby cuts in a second pass you could probably get even closer.
