The challenge was to ~30 Engrave Oyster Knives for my mom’s upcoming 80th birthday surprise party as give-aways to the guests at the party. We’re having a oyster roast and also having Lowcountry Boil. I purchased 30 cheap oyster shucking knives off amazon. Although I did use the Glowforge to make a knife jig to use in my fiber laser, everything else was done with other lasers and 3D printers, which is why this is posted in Everything Else. I still wanted to share, so here is my process to create 30 over-the-top full wrap laser engraved oyster knives.
well now i need to do a more minimalist version of what you did for wedding gifts this summer. i have two different cousins (a generation behind me) getting married this summer and it’s an oyster-crazed family. so starting to look for not cheap looking wood handled oyster knives to engrave.
