That’s some good registration! I hope Jennifer was pleased. What a nice way to personalize something.

I love this! My granddaughters would love one personalized, great idea, thanks for sharing! How long is the comb?

When you give it to Sally, she’s likely not gonna like it.

Did you figure out a good way to eliminate the sharp edges? I’ve been wanting to make myself a wide-tooth comb (curly hair) but haven’t done it because of that.

There are a lot of plastic polishers.

There are different sticks of compound for different materials.

Same question. Would love to know your process

I have used such buffer wheels for gold, silver, and Acrylic (that I knew only as Plexiglass) over 50 years or so. Either the 4-5" or the one inch with a Flexi-shaft. Apparently some folks use a lathe also.

For small stuff like a comb I’d use these. Either chucked into a drill clamped to a table or a Dremel.

Yup. I use the green with the flex-shaft being like a Dremel but with the tool and motor being separated by 3 feet or so.
With the size of the comb, I use the larger wheels for more uniform work, though you don’t want to catch a point. :grimacing:

That’s a really nice comb! Good job!

I wonder if you could round the edges with acetone.

Maybe using an acetone fuming chamber (a puddle of acetone in the bottom of an old slow cooker on low and place the comb on a small tuna can or something non-plastic). Kind of like fuming 3D prints.
