Wow, the resin looks great in that PG cherry. I’ve tried it in non PG Baltic birch and the unfinished wood wicks up the resin giving a poor appearance to the edges. But the finished PG woods seem to seal the edges well.

I found when working with no PG wood to do a light coat of resin to help seal it the add the colored one once it has dried .
