For the moment there is a clear tray taped down at a handy location. May be a custom box eventually.

(I want to make something like that for guitar straps–I’m trying to get the elliptical box extension to work on my computer/Inkscape, but at least I have a basic living hing extension working–next is to actually try it!)
I use a leather tray–so it’s easy to grab the pins to take out or drop in, but also sometimes catch the edge & they scatter hither & yon into & behind my unit–not unlike @rbdanforth experience!

To be very honest I did that to try this round corner boxes thing!
Loved it and thought it would work perfectly to keep my pins all together and visible!
