Polymer clay

I have not received my Glowforge yet but I want to be ready when I do. I want to know can you etch on polymer clay? Thank you in advance.

For future reference, posting in Problems and Support opens a support ticket. I’m going to move this over to Beyond the Manual, where we can talk about working with non-PG materials.

Polymer clay is made with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and should definitely not be engraved or cut in your laser. It would release hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas which would corrode the parts in your machine. Even one use could cause irreparable damage.
