Pop-up cards

I’ve been using the basic version of Studio and it’s very capable. The only option I miss is the on-screen ruler.

An indiegogo from last year - nice work !

Well I know what existing business I’m going to knock off now, as soon as my GF arrives.

I mean how hard can it be to design and inkscape that.

This thread made me think of some of the amazing cards that I saw in Japan, so I did a search. There’s some great ideas out there… I’ll have to think about some designs of my own.

Very inspirational–thanks!

The design appears to be purchasable, but the link took me to an Asian website and I wasn’t sure that I wanted to buy there.

Here’s the link to the image. FWIW https://www.duitang.com/blog/?id=97415130

in case anyone is interested in some more over-the-top inspiration, i was at a graphic design conference (HOW in Chicago) back in may and saw Kelli Anderson (http://kellianderson.com/blog/) speak. she does a lot of cool design work all by hand.

i bought this book from her (this book is a camera), but haven’t had a chance to use it yet.

she just recently released this book, This Book Is a Planetarium, which has a bunch of different cool, functional popups. would be a great gift for the right kid.
