The uncanny valley just got a little more canny with this.
Gulp!
That’s not at all terrifying
Beautiful, but terrifying
So far just expert systems, getting more complex behavior from fewer commands is their efforts. It would be really nice to put some of that into disabled assist projects. It would be amazing to have some sort of “Iron man” covering or replacement for legs that could give that sort of freedom taking care of balance and broken ground travel.
Honda, Hyundai, and (don’t laugh) Cyberdyne totes are (my sister is following them closely cuz she wants in!)
Robotic cheerleader. Beautiful in a rather mechanical way.
You can buy a Spot now!
Wouldn’t it be great to have a Spot? I don’t know what I would use it for, but I find it very compelling.
I’d abuse the privilege during Halloween.
Spot only has 14kg payload capacity so that completely rules out riding it horseback… errrmm… $50,000 PAPERWEIGHT!!!
Maybe they’re announcing Alexa integration into Spot in ten minutes at the Amazon show.
If I won a big lottery I don’t see how I could resist.
