Here is a post I did on engraving my son’s steel tools.

Engraving on Steel Tools...Success!

Back in December, I posted about engraving my son’s steel tools. Turns out the black impact sockets would not cooperate. We think they may be black all the way through. However, his silver-colored tools engraved very well with marking powder. It came with instructions to put alcohol up to the line in the jar and mix. I pained it on his tools, and after a few failures, ended up with a pretty good run. I only took pictures of the good ones. I used scrap wood I had saved, thinking I can sure…
