Proofgrade Materials for non-owners

I work in a library makerspace and we’re trying to figure out how to deal with materials. Is the store available to everybody or just owners? We really want our patrons to just use :proofgrade: materials and possibly some others that have been vetted, like slate or cardboard. If they can’t order their own materials we’ll have to charge them, which requires an approval process. TIA!

To date, it’s been owners only.

Right now it’s owners only, because we want to make sure we have enough supply for owners - but we do plan to open it to everyone as soon as we can.

We also ordered the Glowforge for our Design Lab. Do you have policies in place yet? We are in the process of figuring out how much to charge and other policies now.

We don’t yet, but we’re leaning towards supplying :proofgrade: material and charging an “at cost” amount. Since it’s likely to get a lot of usage we’re probably going to limit material usage to :proofgrade: at first. But, like I said, nothing is set in stone.

We do a lot of 3D printing in here and we operate all the machines, so that will most likely be our model for the Glowforge as well.
