Pushing Limits, Episode 2

I decided to try a different lattice for my crane cutout. Slightly less intricate, and this time with a line width of 2 points, again using medium PG basswood plywood:

Still a little more burn on the thin areas than I’m happy with. I’ve got to go return my granddaughter to Ft Worth, so I’ll be away from my ‘forge for a couple of days, but I’m thinking of experimenting with lower power and multiple passes to see if I can improve on this.

Ha! I just noticed I lost a cut in all the editing (down by his legs). Oops!

NICE!

Did the Kumiko site help with patterns?

It did! This background is “Sanjyubishi” turned on its side.

Also I’m still giggling about “Asanoha.” It’s such a ubiquitous design over there; I’ve seen it all my life, but I never knew it was marijuana (hemp) leaves. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Fretty! The celtic knot known as the fret is on my medieval Arms. I love the interlacing of frets, it’s just gorgeous
