Just a thought but Windows has no idea what a SVG file is unless you have some kind of SVG editor installed on your computer.
I would install Inkscape on your computer and the SVG option should show up.
Yeah I do use inkscape, so I already have that. I don’t know why it does it but using chrome made it possible for me to download the file.

How do you flip your text? Can you do it in the glowforge app or do you need to do it before you upload it to the app?
You need to do it in your design software before you save the SVG file and upload it to the app. (You probably also need to convert it to Outlines before you flip it.)

why do you need to engrave acrylic from the back? I engrave acrylic from the front all the time and it turns out fine?
Most likely referring to working with clear acrylic, where engraves look much better when viewed from the non-engraved side.
