Question about update to referral program (Jan 2020)

I got the email about the update to the referral program. Does this mean that owners of the Glowforge Basic aren’t eligible to refer anyone anymore? Or does this mean that just new purchases of Basics aren’t eligible?

It means anyone who purchases a Basic will not get a discount, and if someone uses your referral code but gets a Basic you won’t get any credit for it.
