The post by @melantha the other day gave me an idea for my wife for Mother’s Day. I really liked the vase that they had made and thought I could slightly adjust it into a pen/pencil holder (or just a smaller vase). My wife works in the local school district and has been saying she needs a pencil holder for a while and this seemed to fit the bill. I was a bit worried I wouldn’t be able to design it and get it made in time as it was a pretty tough week at work. When you have a Glowforge though, it’s pretty easy to do these things! I wound up using glue to keep it together as I just didn’t quite have time to adjust for the kerf properly. Even still, it was reasonably tight. It’s not perfect but she loved it.
