Replacement connectors for old Hot Wheels Tracks

Connector for printing

Had the grandkids over for Thanksgiving and they broke out the old Hot Wheels track and we long ago lost the old red connectors for them… Glowforge to the rescue! I cut these from 3/32 “Balsa” (This is that very stiff, but light wood sold from Hong Kong as “Balsa” but it is much stiffer - almost like basswood) Any 1/16 to 3/32 ply or basswood would work.

Paulownia maybe?

It could be! I did not know the name. I bought some for making balsa planes, but it was too dense. Finally found a use for it.

That’s awesome. I haven’t seen a hotwheels track in ages! I sure did have a ton of fun with mine when I was a kid.

Shucks, I’d still play with them if I still had them.

I lost all of mine in the Joplin tornado, but now I have new toys like a GF :heartpulse:
