Replacing the flat ribbon cable connector on the print head

Has anyone successfully replaced the cable connector on the print head? I seriously can not afford $600 for a new print head when what I need repaired seems like a relatively easy fix. One of the pins in my cable connector broke off. A new connector should just be able to be soldered on. I can find lots of male flat ribbon connectors but finding the correct one (single row 20 pin)is proving difficult. I’ve attached pictures of piece I am referring too.

I have a ticket in to Glowforge and I contacted the company that supposedly does Glowforge repairs. However, it’s the holiday weekend.

If all of the pins for that connector are exposed on the other side… and if that connector is easy to get, and not specially made for the Glowforge… Then replacing that connector is relatively easy for someone with intermediate soldering skills. A specialized desoldering tool would make it a pretty easy job. As you have seen, finding the connector might be the hard part. I’m cautiously optimistic that the repair joint could do this for a LOT less than $600.
