Replica Surfaces for Staging Product Shots

Did anyone else get the email from Glowforge about Replica Surfaces? (that link is the one from my email since they’re offering a sale price)

I’m totally not the target market, but it seems like a nice service for those who are into staging shots for sales! The “How to take good marketing photos” class is probably even more helpful!

Anyway, neat thing to look for if you are the target market and you hadn’t seen it

Yes, I received it! I’m a hobbyist so it’s irrelephant to me.

I’ve been making my own backdrops out of self-adhesive shelf liners and wallpapers. Huge variety, dirt-cheap, and you can make them in whatever size you need.

Unfortunately, I still haven’t gotten around to actually photographing anything on the new backdrops because I am a master procrastinator.

I got the email too.

I was surprised by the business connection. To me, it seems like if you are selling something you made on your expensive laser cutter, you are the kind of person that is going to figure out your own photo backdrop, too. It would have never occurred to me to try and buy something like this.

I got the email. While I’m not looking for backdrops, I was more interested in Glowforge’s new angle for business. So I signed up just because I wanted to have access to the information they hinted at.
