Rocket Tchotchke

Burnin’ up my fuse out here alone.

I turned a quick sketch I did a couple weeks ago into a quick Glowforge demo tchotchke. This might be useful/amusing for others as a quick, inexpensive give away item for maker fairs, festivals, etc.

This version is friction-fit with Proofgrade Medium Draftboard.

Rocketchke?

Rocktchke?

Tchotchket?

It’s in there somewhere, I can’t quite get a handle on it.

Nice picture of the rocket. And I bet you could turn that into a squid very easily!

The award for “most unlikely yet sensical sentence of the day” goes to @marmak3261

It’s not a huge leap from Edgar Rice Burroughs to Jules Verne, I suppose.

Cool. Triggered a song memory in my brain (Elton John’s Rocketman).

And if realizing that song is almost 50(!) years old isn’t unsettling enough, here’s an earworm :slightly_smiling_face:

It did that to me, too. That’s why I quoted some of the lyrics (probably a commonly un/misheard line).

Love that song.

It’s been called the most misquoted or misunderstood lyrical song ever

(Most misinterpreted title probably belongs to Puff the Magic Dragon )

Everything old is new again

… or, you know, Jules Verne to Jules Verne.

I probably need a nap.

Cool, can’t tell from the photo but what did you cut it from?

That one is Proofgrade Medium Draftboard. I have some brushed aluminum acrylic I was going to use to cut one but, haven’t got to it, yet.
