Today’s practical cut required some acrylic bending, but it’s so worth it!
No longer hidden among the tools, now my pretty rolling pin is displayed as art when it’s not working 
I made a light score line where I needed it to bend, mostly to give myself a target, and then I used a torch-lighter to heat that section and as soon as it bent to the right angle I let it cool off and voila!
As those pins are mostly standard, if anyone wants the design, let me know and I’ll add it here.
