Very cool. I love collecting and displaying souvenirs from vacations too. I wonder if you could do some laser sintering with the Glowforge to turn the sand into something solid you can hold or permanent integrate into a display/artwork.

The video was pretty entertaining and this makes me want to play. The Trotec has a 2,540 lines per inch mode designed for annealing metal that I think would be interesting to play with on this!!
