Sealer for Basswood Drink Coasters

I am a newbie to Glowforge and I just made myself Buffalo Bills coasters using the proofgrade medium basswood plywood and I was wondering what the best sealer is to protect the basswood from water? If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

I’m in love with Tung oil (pure - you can get it on Amazon). It takes forever and a day (like 2 weeks) to fully dry, but it’s seemingly indestructible once it does). I’ve heard you can thin it with mineral oil, but I haven’t tried that.

Fan of Minwax Polycrylic here, I like the less toxic water cleanup. It also comes in a spray can for no cleanup at all.

Another fan of Minwax Polycrylic. The satin finish would be perfect for the drink coasters. It drys SUPER DUPER quick.

Use a 1 inch sponge brush. Work the sponge brush back and forth. Overlap but make sure you brush away any lines.

I would recommend.three coats and LIGHTLY sand between coats

I’ve used epoxy resin. Nice thick glass like finish.
