Guess what these are?
For years I’ve been driven MAD by my bamboo silverware separator sliding 1.425" back in its drawer.
Every time I close it, the inertia of the silverware pushes it back. I’ve probably reset this thing a total of a mile or so every year. BUT NO MORE!
Eat it inertia!

lol… I did the same thing, except mine were cut from heavy packing foam with a utility knife… 
(Not sure if the was pre- or post- Glowforge arrival…)

My knives slip under the divider. Might try your method … it just might help.
