I was looking around the internet and saw one of these in an oval shape. I’m intrigued. It’s going to have it’s own set of difficulties because you cant just turn it back and forth. I’m going to attempt this live tonight (10pm PST) if you wanted to come check it out, maybe pick my brain, give your insights; should be fun. Twitch link is in original post above.

so very new to this. question I just cut out your bowl design and they are all cut into their own circle. is this right ? so do I cut each piece together to make the bowl ?

You cut the file as one piece where it lays completely flat. With the circle bowl, you take each segment one at a time, lift it up, and rotate it slightly so that it sits on the piece below. Hard to explain in words.
I used proof grade and then wood glue. Didn’t find I needed to sand.
I tried to download but all I got was the jpg picture. I am new to GF but would love to try this basket. Advice please. email is keithdaniels@tampabay.rr.com
You should just be able to right click on the file and save as. The white file with the black lines. There are two up there so just make sure you’re saving the right one.
I don’t see the file. I’m new to glowforge. I don’t see how you get to cutting this bowl out
Under the image there is another smaller image with white background and lines. Just right click on that and save image as. Then you should be good to go!

I ended up making one with a rounded bottom by changing the widths of the layers. Pretty neat. I’ve been doing multiple renditions based on this concept and even added some fun Zelda symbols to fancy it up.

I am new to the community, just received my GF. Was here looking for files I might be able to practice with and learn from … Like this bowl and I see all the comments BUT i do not see any free SVG file to download. Am I missing it? thanks
Welcome to the forum.
The item that looks like a line drawing in the original post is the file. Right click the image and save as an svg file to your computer.
