Simple Free Standing Award

This SVG is designed to create a quick free standing award using 1 layer of thick clear acrylic and one layer of thick plywood. I put rubber feet on mine, and flipped the engraving before printing. Measure the thickness of your materials and modify the openings in the base accordingly.

Can I be a little bit safety conscious and suggest the top corners are rounded. Sharp acrylic corners always make me itch…
Really love the design, it’s so simple and very elegant.

My original design had rounded corners, but the client wanted sharp. Easy to modify though!

That’s a beautiful look. Maybe I deserve to make myself an award for something.

Looks great…
What glue do you use on the acrylic?

The parts are pressure fit into the base, so no glue necessary. If it were a bit loose, I’d use super glue on the tabs.

I resisted posting as I wanted the OP to share what they had done, but that would be my first choice, and second would be a tiny amount of an adhesive down “inside” the base, where it would not be visible. I’d also put a cut piece of felt over the bottom.

I’ve made multiple items similar to this. There’s no need for adhesive between the acrylic and wood in the visible area, if the holes in the base have been carefully designed for a tight fit.
