My neighbors have chickens. It’s so relaxing to hear them cluck. Once in a while they get into my back yard; keeps my indoor cat entertained (kitty TV), and the adults entertained while we try to herd them back into their own yard.

My neighbors have roosters… At least it sounds plural at the crack of dawn through mid-morning, and we’re downtown…

Mine used to have a young rooster. He sounded like he was clearing his throat whenever he tried to crow. Once he finally got it, they found a new home for him.

My daughter actually has chickens and a [loud] rooster. They also have ducks, dogs, cats and a chameleon. My son-in-law drew the line at a cow.

There are roosters through our woods. The one thing we quickly learned when we moved here a few months ago is that roosters crow at all hours, not just in the morning like I always thought.
