Simple round box

I posted a pic of this in the “Pics only” thread, but it’s so stupid simple I thought I would share it here.

I happened to make this from two rings of generic 1/4" MDF, the “mating” parts were from 5/32 maple ply, and the top and bottom from 1/16" ply from Amazon. Just move the parts outside the print area for each step for various materials. I used the inner discs and outer “frame” from cutting the 1/4" mdf to align the mating pieces on the lid. It’s a cute little box for a quartz stone for someone. The Sanskrit on the lid is one (of many) for “Love”.

Decided to engrave a design on the bottom, and use the GF to also cut two pieces of turquoise glitter cardstock to pretty up the inside a little.

Yeah, the edges are a little rough but it’s pretty small and that’s not noticeable when handling it.

This isn’t a silly romantic thing (not that there’s anything wrong with that), it actually has spiritual significance…
