I am trying to get rid of that burnt smell from the cork when I bring the cup close to my face to drink. Do you clean up the edges or not have this same issue with smell? Thx

I have found the alcohol based hand sanitizes very good for getting rid of smells and dissolving the gunk due to cutting. Try on scrap first as it might dissolve what holds the cork together too.
