Some very impressive paper craft card making

I’m not even sure what all of those steps were. Was that white powder coating in an embossed logo?

He put down a white powder which is designed to keep the (white) embossing powder from sticking anywhere but the inked image. After embossing he used a damp paper towel to remove the white powder.

Hmm so the powder is smushed into the paper to make the embossed logo and then removed?

He used talc powder to prevent the later used embossing powder from sticking where he isn’t stamping.

Then he stamped with a very sticky ink, sprinkled embossing powder, tapped off extra, and then melted the embossing powder with a heat gun. At which point, he was able to wipe away the talc residue.

Multilayer stenciling is all the rage in card making right now. I’ve made a number of sets myself. I just wish the Aura could cut the semitransparent stenciling Mylar. It would be more convenient since my Aura is in my hobby room (unlike my Pro, which is in the basement).

Indeed … I used stenciling this year for my Christmas cards. Although, I purchased the stencils.
