Star Wars Death Star Kallax Diorama

What CAD program do you use?

I did this entire design in Adobe Illustrator. I use Fusion 360 for 3D stuff, but not on this project. I used Make A Box for the internal and externals enclosures.

I used Makercase on a few of my files. Geez, forgot about that one. Lol! Always something to learn.

Gosh, that looks so realistic that at first I thought it was a projection of the actual movie scene. Well done!

What do you have on your watch strap?

The guy in the photos is my brother in law who was there to help assemble, and he doesn’t have anything on his watch, if that is what you meant.

I was thinking it was a sensor and electrical tape.

Ha, electrical tape I think. I’ll ask the next time I see him.

To complete the look of the diorama, I bought a working red LED lightsaber from Indosabers, and thought I would share. This can be activated by remote

Niiiice!
I think the only thing that might make that better is if the sabre rolled out…and you had a tiny smoke machine.

You probably already know those exist:

(Edit: I guess that’s a pre-order but, previous models are available as well as at least a couple other brands.)

Cosplayers have been making their own out of vape pens for awhile, too. So, that might be an affordable option.
