How to cut a rectangular plate around text
What design program do you use? I use inkscape
Draw a rectangle around your text, and choose “cut” in the GF UI.

Draw the box you desire around the text and give it a different color.
The example below will allow you to do the box and text as different functions in the Glowforge UI.
Included a snap of how that looks in the UI under the sample.
