Of course we remember you! Especially as your username is kind of tricky (as in, not what it seems). Nice to hear from you again.

Yep, still here. Stone Forge is still ticking along. Just completed my latest project yesterday.

We’re here! Well, not @PrintToLaser. We lost him a while back.

I’m still here too. Just lost my original basic to the winds of time a few weeks ago, but have a replacement already going strong. Happiest Christmas to you, too.

Also here, on GF #2. I’ve been frantically churning out gifts for people while I can.

I don’t come around here too often anymore, but I occasionally pop in to see what’s going on.

I’m devastated to hear about @PrintToLaser. He was an amazing guy. He opened his home to me as a stranger from the internet, welcomed me to use his pre-release GF, fed me dinner, bought me my favorite beer. Later he welcomed me back to colorado with a visit to my new house, a test drive of his new car (“Step on it man, see what it can do!”), and of course to share a few beers in my backyard while discussing machinery, cars, lasers, and crafting.
I had planned to have him and his wife over for dinner, time seems to have slipped by too fast, dammit.

It has punched several of us in the gut.

You should drop in more often.

I was really creative - “Glowforge” became “Re-Glowforge”…

My first was Haephestus (god of forges), but due to an error on my part he was exchanged very early and his replacement became Erichthonius (Haephestus’ son). I’m not sure what I’ll do if Erich ever passes on. Likely either Pandion (his son) or Erechthius (his grandson) but neither of those was any sort of smith so the reason for the name kind of dies. Hopefully that time is far in the future still.

Welcome back to all who have been away! At least @PrintToLase’s son contacted us to let us know what had happened. I find it upsetting that folk disappear and we never know, even though they have been active for years. Even if you just post photos of special works we can know you are still about.

A number of us have had major challenges in the past few years, and having this group of friends I think has helped us all.
