Structured Wiring Panel - Switch Mount (Pegboard Style)

I’m in the process of cleaning up my home wiring. I love that I can basically come up with an idea and have a solution in the same day. I’ll be making some more of various sizes for my other networking equipment.

Very nice, but now I have to know just how wired is your house!

What you saw in the photo is the main wired network. I’ll probably put the router/gateway below the switch. I have a Raspberry Pi with Pi-hole (https://pi-hole.net/) that I’ll probably mount the same way too.

I’m using that PoE switch because I have a few PoE powered switches, so I can have remote switches without needing a 120vac outlet (and AC adapter) nearby. The added benefit of using PoE is a single UPS can keep the network working if the power goes out.

Other than the network, I have built-in home speakers that are wired in a different location… I’ll have to figure out how to tidy that area up.

I should upgrade my network like this, I currently have a crappy extension cable setup in a couple spots.

Impressive!

Wow, this is brilliant! I’ve 3D printed a couple of wall brackets (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2395003), but I never thought of this.

I combine that GS110TP with GS105PE in remote locations (5-port model) https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Gigabit-Pass-through-Lifetime-Protection/dp/B00J8NAWZ8

It works well so far. I think I might try to make a mount for the GS105PE that works with the network wall plate cover.

I have got to get me some black acrylic. Nice and sleek.
