Switchplate

Not a big thing, but it makes me happy.

Baltic birch, cut and scored on my Glowforge, then painted with acrylic paints and coated with Polycrylic.

I think the little things usually bring us the most happiness. This is delightful!

The colors are a great choice. I am always amazed at the things that you can do. Even with one hand tied behind your back.

I could never paint like that.

But looking at this again, I remembered, they make nylon screws, which would be more subtle. If you venture into civilization (I recall you were in the country?) and there is a “mom and pop” Ace/TruValue, they are 6-32x1". They also make them in antique brass and other finishes. Cheap.

I have ink pens that can color things like that as well as well. I just used them to patch something I repaired for my ex.

This is lovely. I really should replace more of my switchplates. I think the custom plates are a fun surprise in a room.

Ooh, good point, thanks! I bought 100 metal ones because the ones that came with my switches are too short, but I do have paint pens, AND Rub 'N Buff, so I can definitely add a little class.
