I kind of wrote it off when it came out, thinking it was just a joke of a kids show. Something about the animation style. Was only in the last six months or so that my girlfriend decided to give it a try, and we were impressed by the quality of the story… and by the sheer amount of content.
There are some brutal fights. Very non-disney fight scenes. And a few squee-inducingly cute creatures.

The movie was pretty awesome. However a bit disappointed that at least one scene was crudely edited and censored. As is typical for anime brought to the states.
Can’t wait to see it again when it comes out in Japan on Blu-ray.

Didn’t get to go due to previous obligations, but I’m taking another run at SAO II. Now that it’s been a while, the lack of an English dub isn’t bothering me – having characters voices change abruptly was what put me off last time.
Not at good as the original Aincrad arc, but ok…
