The Jester & Bard

The Journey -

Proceed if you wish to embark on such a challenge

One with many of these in your life, like north of 150…

There will be many a wait, for plates of shimmering PETG

But once a base is set

And you commit -

It becomes a video game, planning your path

And printing Bricks -

Then day by day, the vision rises -

The walls get taller

And you settle into a vibe, watching technology create your vision

Soon, you’ll see progress, and light

A renewed enthusiasm awakens, as the vision unfolds

Although sometimes mistakes are made, and not realized

In ones enthusiasm, to rush toward the light

And see them shine

But once realized, take a step back,

And move forward again

And your vision will refocus

More clarity for details emerge, and you shall have the strength to make a change

To improve that which you settled for, earlier in the projects life -

And go those extra steps

To turn the vision, into life

And make it shine

Welcome to Jester & Bard

Come on in

Very fun! After playing Legos with the grandchildren today, I somehow find it extra fun.

Very nice!

The text of your post is evocative of the narrative presented in the Monument Valley game series. :sunglasses:

if you go to lego.com look for the sales/deals heavily discounted sets used to use that when getting legos for my girls.

:+1: I play similar music too, when burning the midnight oil on a project.

Thank you! Wish I could say I was unfamiliar with their site. :grinning: Their parents said no more Legos. My grandson said yesterday that we could buy them more for our house!

Lego is the best toy bar none.

You don’t want to know how much we spend on LEGO. We’ve become addicted. We’re running out of room, but that won’t stop us! We’re just fascinated by how the sets are put together, hiw minds can think, “Ooh, I can make this out of that!” But the great thing is that we do the kits together as a couple and have a lot of fun doing it.

@High_Latitude, love your build and creativity!

In our last house I built a wall of shelves for our LEGO constructions - 6 shelves tall by 18 feet long. We had 4 kids building them for decades. When they moved out they didn’t take them. When we moved, my wife gave some neighbor kids buckets of bricks. I packed up a couple dozen of the sets (villages, building, people, etc in vinettes) and carted them with us to NC. And now we’re building & displaying the adult themed ones.

I’m afraid we’re going to run out of room here too.

This is just some of what we have. This takes up one wall in our living room. We have another unit like it on another wall that is only 4ft wide. Some of its shelves are filled, but two of them just have the boxes still waiting to be built. Plus we have two other bookcases, one set in our bedroom, and the two LOTR kits in our dining room. The next space to fill will be a back bedroom!

One of my friends gets invited to their HQ every year. He took his dad along one year. I forget the details now, but when I met him and read up about it, it’s quite a rare group to be in. I also learned what it meant to be a designer. I would have loved that, as Lego was my favorite toy for many years. I have a small kit (Lamborghini Countach) sitting on display in my living room.

That would be one reason I would get a passport - to go to LEGO headquarters. We are always so amazed at how the designers (any of them) figure out how to take these little pieces and put them together to make so many different things. We just finished the Space Shuttle Discovery, complete with Hubble telescope. Love your Lamborghini! We bought the 1961 Corvette, and it’s on one of our bookshelves. It’s one they’re getting ready to “retire.”
