Are you kidding? He looks amazing to me. I remember these toys too. I want to do some of the guys climbing a rope. My parents gave German ones to us as Christmas ornaments.

I just put together a little Jacob’s ladder the other day…assembly took a lot longer than the cutting part.

But i love all the old wooden toys…particularly the mechanical ones.

also the slope walkers… remember those? Or the little “walkers” that had the string and weight and would walk to the edge of the table? And of course the magnetic “kissing” scotties (or people or other animals). Had such neat little toys back then… (Stopping at “HoJos”* on road trips and begging the parent for a quarter to get one of the toys from the vending machines in the restrooms)

I saw my first one when visiting my grandma as a child too. (There was an old five and dime that sold all kinds of cool wooden toys.) :smile:
