This year’s pumpkin

Decided to paint first this year. Wish I’d made the engraving a little bigger.

Sliced, lasered, reassembled?

yup. this year i did a better job of hiding the toothpicks. didn’t drive them through the front, just pushed them from behind.

Very nice, i’ve thought about slicing and lasering but wasn’t sure it could be done!

yup. just got to watch the 2" height. and it’s better with a flatter side than the one i used, since you can engrave a bigger area.

What did you illuminate it with? The black sure gives a nice contrast, black and orange are the traditional colors after all. :sunglasses:

This is a strong LED. It also will power the soft plastic LED string of camping lights I have. Doubles as a flashlight. I think there are 10ish bright LEDs under that white strip.

The black paint covers a bunch of sins too, yeah?

it does. i painted it, cut the slice off, then touch up painted again. it also gives a much better contrast to the engraving.
