Our family is legend for trick-wrapping gifts so you can’t tell what is in them. That said, I’m giving my mom a decorative doormat for her birthday and it’s just too big to wrap. So I made a mini version out of a scrap of leather, and I’ll give it to her in a jewelry box.
That’s awesome!
I got tired of trick-wrapping one year, so instead I just numbered all the gifts instead of putting names on them, and kept the “key” in a hidden file on my computer. It drove my kids crazy being able to guess what some of them were, but not knowing who they were for!
Hahaha-evil!
It is adorable! Great thinking! Hope it gets a permanent home with a dollhouse after her birthday.
Awesome mini reproduction. Mission accomplished, she will definitely not be able to guess that gift.
It looks so cute in mini version! @geek2nurse that’s a clever idea!
This is a great idea!
Awesome! I am so impressed that you were able to match the pattern of the doormat!
Easy-peasy. I just downloaded a photo of the mat from Home Depot’s website, converted to black and white, applied threshold, and engraved at high lpi.
I never would have thought of that!
You are so blessed to still have your Mother!!!
Love your post!!
Great idea!
